Is there a recipe for those mason jar pies? Would love to make some pecan and cherry ones. Super cool!

It was really hard to pay $6.99 for 5 peonies at Trader Joe's, when I just left the land of free peonies-a-plenty. I did it, but it hurt a lil bit.
So glad to be home, even if these two kiddos didn't get the memo about being back on West Coast time and woke up way too early. Charlie had a bit of a rough time this trip, adjusting to a lot of constant stimulation while barely napping and sharing the family spotlight with his brother for the first time. It was wonderful spending time and having fun with family and some old friends, but also really exhausting. There was a lot of boundary-pushing and acting out. But on the flight home he was the best behaved kid on the plane. He was patient with his overtired brother, and was quiet and sweet and polite, even though he was tired himself. He didn't act out once or whine about anything the entire 5 hour flight (after a 2 1/2 hr car ride). And Calvin did as well as a squirmy, teething 9 month old can. I'm very proud of how well we all did on a trip that tested all of us in different ways. But now I need a vacation to recover from the trip. Somewhere with a beach and lots of naps and #fredrickfamilytravels #theresnoplacelikehome
