• {Real Wedding} Amanda & JR: Simple & Classic Vintage DIY Wedding

Sometimes it is refreshing to see a simple, classic-with-a-touch-of-vintage wedding.  Today is one of those times.  There isn’t an abundance of “stuff” or of DIY projects, although the bride did DIY the favors and florals.  Sweet and simple is on the agenda for today!  Enjoy.

A little bit from the bride:
I wanted to keep things simple and classic and a touch vintage, so details like a bird cage veil, a magnolia arch and a collection of found bottles & vases all got me really excited as I started to pull things together. My dress had the slightest tinge of pink to it so I played off that with flowers in a range on peaches, pinks and olive greens. We ended up finding all of the flowers we used to decorate at Whole Foods, the grocery store and then a small local florist. And my mom was a huge part of bringing it all together. When she got into town, she ran countless errands with me – tracking down just the right flowers, scouring the city for the perfect hair accessories to hold down my veil, and gathering countless bottles. It all came together surprisingly smoothly, though.

The combination of the gorgeous photos by Moss & Isaac and the lovely venue (Parkside Mansion) showcase the bride’s vision perfectly I think!  What do you think?  Is simple and classic your style?

    • If there's one bit of wisdom I could share with other parents that I have learned with absolute certainty as a mom of three it is this: sleep begets sleep. The better they sleep, the more they sleep. The more they sleep, the better they sleep. It might not make sense that putting your baby down at 7 instead of 8 or 9 will get him to sleep longer, but by god it does. I'm gonna share all of my tips on getting your babes to be good sleepers. But first I wanted to talk about infant reflux -- our experience with it and what has worked for us in dealing with it -- because I know many of you are also struggling with it. And it's just beyond the pits. So head to the blog tomorrow to read that post and I promise to get the sleep one up soon. I feel like I could write a whole book on it at this point. Maybe I should write a whole book on it... 🤔 Also, This picture of Quincy from his nap today is totally distracting me from getting any work done at all. Because those cheeks and lips are all I can handle right now #quincyrhys This is how the two of us get to experience most of our family of five adventures, and I don't think either of us would change it one bit. #fredrickfamilysummer #OLDsfaveplacesinLA
