    The portraits in this wedding are some of my favorites ever.  Yes, EVER. And the sweet photos of this couple and their adorable little girl make me wish my son Charlie had been at our wedding…you know, if he had been born yet.  This is one wedding to swoon over with your favorite cup of coffee or tea.  Sip slowly and savor…

    {advice for planning couples}
    I think the best advice is to plan a wedding that reflects who you truly are as a couple. It is a day in your life together and should feel as such, on that day, and when you look back on it.

    We have a large family and, at the time a daughter (we now have a son too), and it was very important to have our wedding reflect the importance our family plays in our lives. We involved our parents in the ceremony, as well as my husband’s godfather, and my brother is the one that married us.  We also included our daughter in the ceremony by giving her a necklace from both of us. From the beginning, we knew that we wanted her to be a big part of that day because she was the one that had already made us a family. Every detail of the wedding was made with our family in mind. I chose a dress that would allow me to play with my daughter, we picked food that was kid-friendly (as we have over 15 nieces and nephews).  We love the outdoors and have simple tastes and also wanted the wedding to reflect that.

    I’ve poured over these photos for hours and I’m still not tired of them.  Just so so lovely.  And congrats to the couple on their second little one!

       Even though this guy was up at 5 am (oy!) I am working hard trying to get a Mother's Day gift guide + giveaway ready to go live this week. It's a really good one full of all of my favorite things (this photo is a major hint at one of the prizes) so I'm taking volunteers to come hold this teething baby so I can work. Any takers??? (Mostly kidding...) | And yes, you could win one of these custom silhouettes (or something else from @palomasnest if you prefer). Look at that rendition of Calvin: his facial features, his curl, his no-neck, his puffy baby chest, and his little neck fat roll. It is him to a T ❤️ #OLDgoodiesguide #OLDlovesmoms
       What I would have given to have a @zac_posen bridal gown back when I was shopping for my wedding dress! I just got to see his new bridal collection at @davidsbridal and it is beyond fab. Classic with an edge, modern twists on traditional bridal styles, in silhouettes that make all women look good, and made for the everygirl's budget too. I'm crossing my fingers for a red carpet event soon so I can wear one of his special event gowns. I'm going to share more on the blog this week so stay tuned. And the gentleman behind the gowns was just as lovely as his designs.
