• Sneak Peek at Martha Stewart Weddings Fall Issue

    Fall Martha Stewart Weddings Preview

The fall issue of Martha Stewart Weddings debuts today, and as usual it’s chock full of fabulous wedding inspiration. And we have an exclusive sneak peek of one of their real wedding features, the Santa Barbara wedding of Emily & David photographed by Jose Villa. Laid back elegance with Americana touches, dreamy images from one of my favorite photographers, and a bride who just happens to design a denim line I’m obsessed with – what’s not to love?Fall Martha Stewart Weddings Preview Fall Martha Stewart Weddings Preview

The touches of nautical inspiration, air mail details, and kraft paper in this invitation suite has me swooning. It it really sets the tone for the rest of the relaxed celebration.

Fall Martha Stewart Weddings PreviewEvery detail of a relaxed and fun vibe was thought of by Mindy Rice & Lisa Vorce, including those bags of popcorn, which served as guest snack, ceremony program, and recessional popcorn toss! That was followed up with games, a silhouette artist, a bluegrass band, and family-style food.

Tablescapes were decorated with paper sacks of ripe red cherries, amber glass vessels, and floral arrangements. And the table numbers are one of my favorite ideas ever – so be sure to check out the full story here to see those, and so much more.

You can see the rest of this lovely wedding and more in the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, on newsstands now!

Great wedding inspiration! Love the soft colors! The bride on the cover is gorgeous – her dress and hair and makeup are perfect! Stunning location as well!
      Every bride should get this.
As a wedding photographer, I have to say that this is wedding photography at its best! All of the bridal portraits are fantastic!

Any ideas where the red, white and blue prize ribbons are from in the invitation suite from Emily and Divid’s Relaxed Fit wedding?

Any tips would be much appreciated!

    • Calvin has been sleeping through the night for a while but has been taking crap naps for over a month. A few people recommended the Magic Sleep Suit, but I was skeptical at first because his swaddled night sleep was so good I didn't think that was his problem. Well, I've been using it since yesterday and am seeing some improvement. While his naps aren't any longer yet (only about 45 minutes long) he went down without much crying at all. And last night he slept from 7:30pm to 6:45 am, never crying or fussing, where he used to be fussy off and on from 4 or 5 am till wake up around 6:30 because he would get really squirmy in his swaddle. He also used to end up with his head in the corner of his crib from all the squirming. Last night he stayed put right in the middle, never made a peep, and only woke me up at 6:45 with happy babbling, no crying. He was already a great night sleeper and we had already been nap training for about a week, but this was a noticeable difference. If your baby is around 3-4 months and having a sleep regression, or rolling in the crib or fighting the swaddle, this might be a big help to you. Also, Calvin looks like an adorable cross between the stay puff marshmallow man and Ralphie's brother from A Christmas Story I'll definitely share his progress after using it for a couple more weeks. And because it is Christmas and I want to give the gift of sleep to you, I'm giving one of these away to a lucky IG follower! Just follow @ohlovelyday & @magicsleepsuit and leave a comment below letting me know that you followed and I'll choose a random winner from the comments and tag you that you won. Giveaway starts now, through Christmas Eve at 4 pm PST. Feel free to tag anyone you think would be interested in your entry as well, but only one comment counts per IG account. Good luck! And head over to my blog, where I'm co-hosting a high tech goodies giveaway with @clubmomme, giving away 3 packages of amazing prizes including a MamaRoo from @4moms_hq and a card away from @britaxus. The giveaway is a couple posts down (link in profile). #thegiftofsleep
Wrapping presents this morning while my boys are out Christmas shopping. We try not to overdue it for Christmas, especially because the boys have August and November birthdays. Aside from what Santa brings (and he only brings the couple things the kids ask for, which this year is a kitchen and a toy trumpet for Charlie) we try hard to stick to the motto: something you want, something you need, something to wear, and something to read. How cute are those matching pjs and fox friends? (Sources tagged). This has been the most fun Christmas yet to shop for because Charlie is really excited and Calvin has joined the family ❤️
