Vintage Beach Wedding | Hayne Photographers & Antonia Christianson Events | Oh Lovely Day

Today’s wedding is a combination of two things I love, vintage-style with a relaxed beach ceremony. And it is just so sweet, it is hard not to fall in love with Hunter & Sharayu’s wedding. From the long family-style tables to the bride’s Audrey Hepburn-inspired style, and all the personal DIY details in between: this wedding is just too sweet for words.

Favorite moment of the day? Walking over the sand dune with my dad and seeing Hunter & our friends and family waiting for me to arrive.

We wanted to have the wedding in a relaxed setting – elegant and timeless.  Since Hunter’s parents live on the beach we decided to do something intimate and relaxed by having a beach ceremony and a backyard reception.

Advice for couples planning now? Use your friends and family as resources for special thematic pieces for your wedding.   Create as many DIY projects as possible, not only are they fun projects to do, people always love a personal touch.  Don’t settle for just any dress.  If you can’t find the dress that you envisioned, always seek a seamstress that can create what you want.  Hire your vendors carefully and then trust them with your vision, allowing them to use their artistic ability to bring your vision to life.  Use sites like Pinterest and Etsy as an inspiration.  Enjoy the planning!

The use of those wood cut rounds in the ceremony is so clever and we love the tables. Beautiful!

Sharayu and Hunter were a dream to work with! Their taste is impeccable and it shows in the images from Hayne Photographers. Thank you so much for including us!

It was a sincere pleasure to work with this couple and their family. I love it even more when a client comes with their ideas and then says, “what ever you want to do we trust you and love what you create.” The flowers where chosen from local farmers, some of the others where sourced within Virginia. We tried our best to keep a lot of things a surprise. Behind the amazing images is a better story of confidence, love, a little humor, patience, and a lot of praying. Perhaps the couple will share their story to others. The wedding was originally scheduled for a Friday late afternoon/evening, however the whole wedding had to me moved two days because of weather which turned out to be one of our best weather days for a wedding in our area. All of the vendors involved in this wedding brought the “A” game on this wedding. The food, the coordinating, photography, car service, cake, and the lighting was all perfection.
We Love this couple and the family.

The family of the groom said the “lavender by the bay” soaps (wedding favors) filled the home with the relaxing fragrance of lavender that was appreciated. Thank you for the opportunity to make lovely soap for your special occasion.

    • We spent our one month anniversary in Florence. We climbed to the top of every hill, tower, and duomo possible on our trip, and did giottos belltower and the duomo back to back. Which is why I ate my face off and still lost weight while we were in Italy. Maybe that is how I should lose my baby weight - visit Italy! #alovelyhoneymoonrevisited #5yearsago #firenze
This babe slept a 6 hour stretch last night. Also, I love the arm over face sleep position ❤️
