Morrocan-Inspired California Wedding | Zoom Theory

I first fell in love with this wedding on instagram, when Zoom Theory  shared a photo of the bride’s show-stopping gown. What a gown! So when they submitted the wedding to me, I was thrilled, not only because I loved the wedding so much but because I love Zoom Theory’s work too (and they’re joining the Lovely Vendor Guide too!) Not to mention that my own wedding was held at this very same venue, so I got to relive my own wedding a little bit – such a special place. There’s so much colorful goodness in this wedding!

Can you spot the initials on the bride’s nails? Such a cute touch!

Favorite moment of the day? Seeing each other for the first time at the “first look” moved us beyond tears.  Nate will never forget turning around to see Alisha’s beautiful smile greet him as she slowly walked down the tree-lined steps into the secret garden.  Alisha will never forget embracing Nate, knowing she was holding her most precious gift… her soon-to-be husband.

    Advice for couples planning now?

Go local – We initially fell in love with an invitation company based in Sweden, and ended up severely disappointed by them… and out a lot of money. Thank goodness for Soolip, who totally saved us at the last minute and made the most beautiful invitations we’d ever seen!

And remember that it’s very difficult, if not impossible, to accomplish every aspect of the wedding to perfection. Discuss with your fiance which aspects of the wedding are most important to you, and focus your energy and resources on those things.

Our inspiration for the day was eclectic romantic worldwide adventure.

How did you make your wedding YOU?

We did everything together. Every aspect of our wedding was either a joint decision or a joint project (except the wedding dress).

This wedding has me inspired and in the mood for travel and adventure – love that that was the inspiration behind their day. And seriously, how much do you love the bride’s gown? Congrats to Nate & Alisha!

I am the Mother of the groom and I must compliment you on your decision to choose this most dream-like, beautiful wedding to showcase. Alisha’s gown was stunning! The way she looked and carried herself made the dress even more magical. La Venta Inn was the perfect place for this special wedding. Nate and Lish put a lot of thought into each wedding decision and it showed. Allen and I enjoyed every moment of this important, happy life-cycle event in our family’s life. I enjoyed reliving these moments in your beautiful site. Thank you.

When your shades and your shirt are meant to be #charlesdashiell On weekends, we nurse, cuddle, and nap together and it is my favorite. With the other boys I was always trying to get stuff done while they were napping. Since this is my last baby, I'm trying to really soak up all the moments I can -- one day I'll have plenty of time to get stuff done. For now I'll just be a hot mess that made the most of this baby time. Whenever I get a bit anxious about not getting things done, I re-read my favorite poem about motherhood: Mother, oh mother, come shake out your cloth! Empty the dustpan, poison the moth, Hang out the washing and butter the bread, Sew on a button and make up a bed. Where is the mother whose house is so shocking? She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking! Oh, I've grown as shiftless as Little Boy Blue (Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby, loo). Dishes are waiting and bills are past due (Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo). The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew And out in the yard there's a hullabaloo But I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo. Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue? (Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo.) Oh, cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, But children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow. So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust, go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby. Babies don't keep. Song for a Fifth Child By Ruth Hulburt Hamilton #battlefieldmotherhood #mommaandquincyselfies
