{Inspiration Board} Inspired by Pantone’s Color of the Year: A Wintergreen Wedding

Happy Monday! Did you see my big announcement this morning? I’m still in celebration mode over here. But I didn’t want to forget to share today’s inspiration board, inspired by Pantone’s Color of the Year and one of my personal favorite shades, Emerald.

Emerald is one of those colors that truly looks great on everyone. As a blond, I’ve always loved it on me, but it is gorgeous on raven hair and redheads alike. Don’t believe me? Keira Knightly, Mila Kunis, and Amy Adams have all rocked it and looked fab! And if you watch Dexter, then you probably fell in love with the one his girlfriend Hannah wore in last night’s episode (I know I did!). I can totally see why Emerald is the color of the year, can’t you?

Hello there Oh Lovely Day readers!!! I’m honoured to be stepping in for the day whilst Chandra enjoys a lovely break with her gorgeous family (of course I’m ever so envious, Hawaii sounds so lovely to me with the wet windy spring we’re having here in New Zealand!). I know you’re in the midst of fall right now, but many of you will be looking ahead to your spring wedding, so I thought I’d do a fresh, breezy spring inspiration board for you. Daisies just scream spring, and combined with the most delicate of lace, it makes such a feminine and pretty combination.

{Real Wedding} Daphne & Erik: Rustic Chic Meets Beach Wedding in Costa Rica

I love a good beach wedding. And this one is definitely a goodie! Succulents and driftwood, a sea shell altar backdrop, plus burlap and mason jar details…what could be better!? Loving this rustic-chic-meets-beach wedding!

Don’t you love those DIY touches, that the couple dreamed up and their team made happen? The sweet ceremony details, like the sea shell backdrop, are my favorites. And the combination of the rustic chic details and the gorgeous beach setting is just perfection, don’t you agree?

{Inspiration Board} Color Palette Spotlight: Soft Hues

Color can really set the tone for your wedding. A bright cheery palette denotes fun, a black and white palette suggests formal elegance, adding graphics can make it modern. My personal favorite color palettes are soft & muted. Here are my three favorites:
