Back in April (has it already been over 7 months!?) I was hosted by Sandals Resorts in Jamaica for a little getaway to see what a wedding or honeymoon in Jamaica could be like. To be honest, I had never considered Sandals Resort for a vacation and had never been to Jamaica either. I was beyond pleasantly surprised with how wonderful it was, and have been wanting to take my little family back (to the Beaches version – kiddos allowed!) ever since. It was the most luxurious and pampered I have ever felt. So I wanted to share a bit of my trip with you since many of you are probably planning your honeymoons and destination weddings right now. I highly recommend the experience. Read More

I think sometimes lingerie can be intimidating for many of us ladies, but it is usually because the idea of lingerie is something that is not our style or personality. It’s overtly sexy, cheesy, very in your face va va voom, and maybe not you. There is some really beautiful lingerie out there, pieces you’ll actually want to wear and will feel sexy and beautiful in. I’ve rounded up some of my favorites. This is one of those posts to share with your bridesmaids (along with your lingerie sizes) before your personal shower or bachelorette party. Or shop for yourself from the ‘shop the post’ gallery at the bottom of the post (where you’ll also find the sources for each item).
Sometimes nothing is sexier than white, and I think a pretty white lacy chemise for your wedding night is a must. These are some of my favorites out there. Grecian, lace, polka dot prints: which is your style? Or you more into color like the picks below? Read More
My husband and I took our first romantic getaway since our honeymoon (and since our son was born, except for the occasional overnight break when my mom comes to town and can babysit) back in May and I wanted to share our highlights in case some of you are looking to take a romantic getaway or anniversary trip to NYC. I highly recommend it. Read More
I’ve been very vocal about my own experience using a honeymoon registry (I loved it!) almost four years ago, but it seems that some people are still on the fence about the idea. However, the honeymoon registry is becoming popular as many couples find it most appropriate for their needs. After all, the purpose of a gift registry is to take the guesswork out of gift giving. Hi lovelies! I’m headed to my brother’s wedding this weekend (probably my last time as a bridesmaid and Charlie’s first time as a ringbearer – can’t wait to see him in his little suit!) and then I’m taking a bit of time off to spend with family. I have some great guest posters lined up for you. I hope you enjoy reading their posts as much as I have. There are some DIY’s, cocktail recipes, inspiration boards, and more! Leave them some love if you have a minute. And if you want to see Charlie as a ringbearer (probably not, but indulge me a little) or want to see me be a tourist with my sweetheart in NYC, be sure to follow along on instagram.
Oh, I’m also on Bloglovin now. Follow my blog with Bloglovin, especially now that Google Reader is going away! That’s how I’ll be keeping up on my blog reading. And I’m making an effort of finally getting to know google + too. So be sure to find me there as well.
Now, are you planning your honeymoon but aren’t sure what type of honeymoon is right for you? Not sure if you want to go sightseeing in Paris or lounge on a beach in Jamaica? This infographic quiz from Phase Eight may come in handy.
Since this weekend is Mother’s Day, tomorrow I’m sharing my birth story. It is a long and sometimes rough story, but it has a happy ending. I read a lot of birth stories when I was pregnant, and they helped me get mentally prepared for the possibilities, but eventually I went overboard and they started making me anxious and I had to cut myself off. I don’t want to scare anyone, so don’t read it if you scare easily, but just know I’m only sharing in an effort to let you know you aren’t alone and if I can do it, you can do it! And ask questions – I’m happy to answer anything in the comments or in an email.
