{Inspiration Board} Inspired by Pantone’s Color of the Year: A Wintergreen Wedding

Happy Monday! Did you see my big announcement this morning? I’m still in celebration mode over here. But I didn’t want to forget to share today’s inspiration board, inspired by Pantone’s Color of the Year and one of my personal favorite shades, Emerald.

Emerald is one of those colors that truly looks great on everyone. As a blond, I’ve always loved it on me, but it is gorgeous on raven hair and redheads alike. Don’t believe me? Keira Knightly, Mila Kunis, and Amy Adams have all rocked it and looked fab! And if you watch Dexter, then you probably fell in love with the one his girlfriend Hannah wore in last night’s episode (I know I did!). I can totally see why Emerald is the color of the year, can’t you?

I’m honoured to be stepping in for the day whilst Chandra enjoys a lovely break with her gorgeous family (of course I’m ever so envious, Hawaii sounds so lovely to me with the wet windy spring we’re having here in New Zealand!). I know you’re in the midst of fall right now, but many of you will be looking ahead to your spring wedding, so I thought I’d do a fresh, breezy spring inspiration board for you. Daisies just scream spring, and combined with the most delicate of lace, it makes such a feminine and pretty combination.

{Inspiration Board} Whimsical + Romantic Fall Wedding by Love and Lavender

Hi Oh Lovely Day Readers! We’re Aileen and Ellen from Love and Lavender and we’re super excited to be here today! Fall has finally arrived and we are so thrilled about it! We love everything about this season, from the crisp air, changing leaves, and apple cider–especially this year because the Seattle weather has been AH-MAZING! Because of our love of autumn we decided to put together an inspiration post of all things fall. We didn’t want to go the traditional route with bright orange pumpkins, red leaves, etc. so we put more of a romantic, elegant spin to autumn with this board. With muted grays, blues, and ivories as the color palette and simple centerpieces, treats, and other décor pieces this is truly a whimsical romantic fall wedding inspiration.

{Inspiraton Board} Fun & Fresh Color Fall Wedding

Hey y’all, happy unofficial Fall! Even though it doesn’t feel like fall yet, I’m so looking forward to it. Fall is my favorite season. Although I don’t get the cooler temps and pretty autumn trees that I used to get back home in Ohio here in LA, we do have our own version of Fall. Sweaters, football, scarves, pumpkin-flavored everything…what’s not to love!? So today’s inspiration board is a wedding translation of everything I love about Fall.

{color palette} mason jar aqua, pumpkin, mustard, kraft paper brown, cream

{inspiration} the pumpkin and mustard are expected warm fall colors, but they are given a fresh spin and a bit of cheer with the aqua. plus it allows you to accent your decor with mason jars, and who doesn’t love mason jars!? finish it off with kraft paper envelopes on your invites, kraft menus or programs, burlap table runners, and some cream accents in your florals or linens. So much better than your standard rust, orange, brown fall palette, no?

{Inspiration Board} Color Palette Spotlight: Soft Hues

Color can really set the tone for your wedding. A bright cheery palette denotes fun, a black and white palette suggests formal elegance, adding graphics can make it modern. My personal favorite color palettes are soft & muted. Here are my three favorites:
