From the moment I laid eyes on these mint green bridesmaid dresses and lovely lush bouquets, I was head over heels in love with this wedding. It only took one photo. I don’t think bridesmaid dresses get any prettier, and the florals in this wedding are beyond stunning.
There are days I still have to pinch myself when I realize that not only do I get to write this wedding blog, like as my job (or one of my jobs, at least) but I have lots of lovely readers like you who wait to read what I post each day and amazing vendors and brides who want their gorgeous weddings featured on my blog. Today’s wedding is so jaw-droppingly fabulous, so stunningly beautiful, that I couldn’t believe my luck. Because it could be on any blog or in any magazine – it’s THAT good. That I get to be the one to share it with you reminds me of how lucky I am, and that the bride shared that she’s a big fan of Oh Lovely Day and reads it several times a week from Norway (where the couple lives) is the icing on the cake for me. So get ready, because I guarantee you that you’re going to want to pin every single image (don’t forget you can use the share button in the upper left corner of each image to share it across social media as well as on Pinterest!). I apologize in advance for completely distracting you from your day with this loveliness, because you’re about to get lost in it for a while… Read More
When this pretty Laguna Beach wedding landed in my inbox I just knew I had to share it. Having attended a Laguna Beach wedding at very fancy hotel once myself (Paul McCartney and his then-wife Heather Mills watched from their balcony and even sent champagne to the couple during their reception) I know how breathtaking this setting really was. Planned perfectly by The Special Day and captured by Leila Brewster, it’s one of those classic weddings every little girl dreams of. Read More

Today’s wedding shows you that you don’t need a lot of time or a lot of stuff to have a beautiful wedding day. Stormie and Chris planned their wedding in one month, while visiting Chris’s hometown of Palmdale, California. The groom was about to attend Columbia University and they wanted to live in couple’s housing. They were going to have a courthouse wedding, and then decided they wanted their closest family and friends present and to be surrounded by the beauty of the Mojave Desert. Best decision ever. I’m warning you, you’re going to want to have a desert wedding after you see this one! Read More
Happy DIY Tuesday! Today I’ve got another DIY from new contributor Mariana from So Much Life
. She’s sharing a fun cupcake garland for us that is perfect for Spring and Easter parties.
Step 1: Choose a large and a small sized cupcake baking cup. Separate each cup, one by one, and display everything on the top of a table.
Step 2: Flip the smaller cupcake baking cups.
Step 3: Paste, with hot glue, the smaller cupcake baking cups inside the bigger ones.
Step 4: Merge with hot glue the two cups above the twine.
And you could use any color and pattern of liner for whatever type of party you want to have. I love the pastels but neon would be really fun too! Thanks again to Mariana from So Much Love (she’s also got another blog called So Much Life - check them both out. While they’re both in Portugese, they are FULL of pretty visual inspiration, one wedding-focused and one crafty!)
Are you loving these DIYs we’ve been having from our fabulous new contributors? If you have an inner Martha just dying to get out, email me to send your submissions my way and you could be featured too. We’ve got an Easter-themed one from Mariana coming up next week too! Until then, happy DIY’ing.
