    Dreamy Beach Vow Renewal

Dreamy Beach Vow Renewal in Saipan | Mylyn Wood Photography on Oh Lovely Day

Today’s dreamy beach vow renewal is full of beach wedding inspiration and might have you longing for a simple destination affair. This couple really wanted to celebrate their anniversary with a vow renewal on the island of Saipan, where they have lived for over a year, because they felt like they wanted to include the island and their new “family” there in their marriage. I love that idea, and the stunning images from Mylyn Wood Photography

I love Lauren’s beach chic bridal style – her hair is perfection and the florals could not be a better match.

Great idea for a simple beach wedding: lay down wooden pallets and cover with colorful blankets and linens for guests to sit on. Bonus points for guests who dress this colorfully festive!Dreamy Beach Vow Renewal in Saipan | Mylyn Wood Photography on Oh Lovely Day Dreamy Beach Vow Renewal in Saipan | Mylyn Wood Photography on Oh Lovely Day Dreamy Beach Vow Renewal in Saipan | Mylyn Wood Photography on Oh Lovely Day Dreamy Beach Vow Renewal in Saipan | Mylyn Wood Photography on Oh Lovely Day Dreamy Beach Vow Renewal in Saipan | Mylyn Wood Photography on Oh Lovely Day Dreamy Beach Vow Renewal in Saipan | Mylyn Wood Photography on Oh Lovely Day Dreamy Beach Vow Renewal in Saipan | Mylyn Wood Photography on Oh Lovely Day Dreamy Beach Vow Renewal in Saipan | Mylyn Wood Photography on Oh Lovely Day

    Here’s more from the couple:

This little island has special significance to us. We haven’t lived here long (only a year) but our lives have changed so much since coming here. We’ve found some of the greatest people to share our lives with and as a couple we have grown more than we ever had before. With our anniversary nearing we entertained the idea of renewing our vows. At first it was just an idea we threw around but the more we thought about it the more important it became to us. We really wanted the island itself to be well represented since it was here that our marriage has been strengthened and here that we met our new “family.” The flametrees have very great meaning on the island and they represent deep love and passion. Since they were already in season we decided it would be the perfect way to incorporate this wonderful new home of ours. It was important to us that only those who touched our lives significantly would be there so it was very casual and very small. We lined our favorite beach with family quilts and blankets, made an aisle runner from coral pieces and adorned the natural cave with the firey red blooms from the flametrees. It was here that we spoke boldly, honestly and humbly about our lives, our love and our gratitude for each other. A special opening was given by my best friend and love song was played to us on the ukulele. To us, this became more significant than our original wedding and it meant everything to us that we were able to do it in such an authentic way in front of those dearest to us. Afterwards we shared toasts with champagne, and shared stories and s’mores as we watched the most beautiful pink sunset fall upon the water. We ate the most delicious cake from our favorite local bakery that was adorned with local seaglass from our favorite beaches.

Many congrats and happy wishes to Lauren & Matt!

There are so many sweet and personal touches in today’s ranch wedding in Los Gatos. Spring Southern Wedding Inspiration

Spring Southern Wedding Inspiration | Carrie Joy Photography | Oh Lovely Day

Today’s wedding inspiration shoot was inspired by the photographer’s heritage: her love of her grandparents and the art of true Southern entertaining. With a venue that feels like home in the South with it’s big wrap-around porch, the incorporation of heirloom china and gold flatware, and colorful florals that feel like they were freshly cut from the garden, I’m longing for a visit to the South myself. So pour yourself a glass of sweet tea and stay a while. Read More »

    Romantic & Relaxed Malibu Wedding

Relaxed Malibu Wedding | Hazelnut Photography, You and Me Events, Kate Baker Florals, Kacee Geoffroy, Calimigos Ranch, & Vanilla Bake Shop | Oh Lovely Day

It’s really fun when I get to feature weddings from talented vendors I love, and today is one of those days. And not only that, but Jordana of Hazelnut Photography is a friend, Vanilla Bake Shop did the sweets for my own wedding (and is a friend and Lovely Vendor), and I’ve been a wedding guest at the Calamigos Ranch at one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever attended. Add to all of that a gorgeous wedding with a relaxed Cali vibe, and some of the prettiest florals I ever did see, and you’ve got today’s real wedding feature. I’m a happy gal.

    • Quincy and I went to the #redCARpetsafety event today, which raises awareness for baby safety. Saw friends @uppababy @munchkin @ergobaby @babyganics & made some new ones like @thestep2company @showmeyourmumu as well. Quincy was making eyes at all the ladies, but he flirted the biggest with Caila with the good hair (which should totally be her hashtag). And all the new moms and moms-to-be were asking about this sling @mywildbird! Which made me think of a good #momtip: Taking Quincy on the go is so much easier thanks to babywearing and that @loyal_hana jumpsuit -- the hidden zippers make it so easy to nurse Quincy while wearing him in the sling. No one even knows I'm breastfeeding! Makes it so much easier to go places, especially with other little ones. I did a whole post on ohlovelyday.com about breastfeeding while babywearing if you want more tips! #OLDfavefinds #quincyrhys #babywearing #normalizebreastfeeding If I got to take two naps a day I'd be this happy too. And for all of you who have asked me about this playmat, I blogged all about it today -- link in profile. #OLDfavefinds #quincyrhys
Watching these three interact with each other over breakfast makes me flash forward to seeing them doing the same thing as big boys and teenagers and it makes me smile and shed a little tear at the same time. And then I think about how much cereal and milk I'm gonna have to buy #thefredrickboys #lifewithboys It's been one of those days (weeks, months, years) where everything is going wrong. Been up since 4:45 since I couldn't get Quincy back to sleep after a feeding. Calvin fell asleep in the stroller on a walk at 10:30 (something he hasn't done since he was like 5 months old!) so his normal nap (my break to eat/shower/work/rest or only have one child to care for for a couple hours) is gone for the day. Quincy pooped all over himself so bad that we were both literally covered in . And he's already woken up from his afternoon nap after only 45 very short minutes. And I'm supposed to have a date with my husband tonight except I'm exhausted and covered in and have no time to do anything about either one. Oh, and I fell down the stairs (sore but not hurt). Motherhood: somedays you win, somedays you lose. But on all the days you are, to some extent in this season of motherhood, covered in shit. Here's hoping the weekend is less shitty, in all the ways. #beerme #battlefieldmotherhood
