• {Inspired by} Cakes Too Pretty To Eat

I didn’t have a wedding cake.  I was never really into cake, but my husband and I love cupcakes, so we had a cupcake tower from Vanilla Bake Shop (my favorite place for cupcakes!).  I loved them and so did our guests.  But sometimes I see a gorgeous cake, more a work of art than a dessert, and I dream about what cake I would have chosen for my wedding.  Here are some beauties that I’ve been collecting.

And if you love that last cake (or the stand it sits on) go visit My Sweet and Saucy blog where Melody gives a video tutorial on how to make that ruffle cake.  And she sells her cake stand wares too!

Oh me, oh my ~ this is cake heaven!!! While I am no longer married ;-( I did have cake at my wedding…even though I am like you…not really a cake person. I always LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Melody’s creations at My Sweet and Saucy…but the cake that Jose Villa took a picture of was a $50 cake from Whole Foods ~ now I am impressed…love the whole feel of that one…especially the price tag ;-)))

Because it is beautiful and perfect for Thanksgiving table inspiration, or just a pretty post to look at over your Thanksgiving holiday, I'm revisiting this Harvest Wedding Inspiration shoot from @gatherevents and @candkphoto. Tap for additional creative credits and see the whole shebang on the blog (link in profile). Don't forget to head to the blog early Friday to see a huge round up of some of the best deals for Black Friday-Cyber Monday, especially deals from some of my favorite small businesses. Try to shop small this holiday season! And I hope everyone has safe travels, lots of yummy food, and a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. So thankful for all of you that take the time to follow, read, comment, like, and share here on IG and on my blog. xo #grateful #thanksgiving #harvest #autumn #fall #ohlovelyday
If it is possible to crush on a company then I've had a major crush on @passivejuicemotel for a while. They mix retro and modern references in such a clever way that I find myself thinking that whoever is behind this brilliance and I should be besties. Besides their Snoop and Ice Cube tees that Calvin has sported in the past, these are some of my current favorites. And how good is that John Snow tee for the holidays!? Not sponsored, just crushin'
