Artistic Texas Wedding | Jillian Zamora Photography on Oh Lovely Day

Today’s artistic DIY Texas wedding is like a dreamy watercolor painting that I just want to stay in for a while. I’m loving the bride’s incredible gown, blush peony bouquet, and all of the pretty shades of pink and peach. And it is full of personal DIY – from those fabulous bouquets and boutonnieres, to the gorgeous hand painted table cloths and everything in between. Be sure to check out the full list of DIY at the end of the feature!

Favorite moment of the day? The first look pictures with Jillian. It took a lot of pressure off the ceremony and it gave us time to spend a little time together outside the chapel. We told each other I love you and held each other tight. It was nice.

    What made your wedding you?

From Batman to Dr. Seuss, we wanted our wedding to be filled with things that would reflect our unique characters, no matter how strange or unconventional they may be. After being together for nearly 7 years, 3.5 of which we were engaged and waiting to finish graduate school, this event was long overdue. Our wedding was a grand jubilee where our dearest friends and family could come and shout “finally!” This was not only a day of wedding celebration but a reflection of who we are, how we’ve grown together, and a reminder that some things in life are definitely worth the wait!

I really love that – some things in life are definitely worth the wait. Don’t you think? Such a sweet wedding, so full of lovely inspiration. Congrats to Caleb & Kate!

@ Christina, The lace on the headband was made by Kate’s great-great grandmother, my mother’s grandmother.

    • My walking buddy today, working hard to suck on that dog's ear just the way his brother used to. I love how easy it is to take Calvin on walks with me using our @uppababy travel system, and how I can throw on the piggyback board if Charlie is home and we all want to go for a walk. I'm sharing a full review of the @uppababy Vista travel system and accessories over on @itsmomtastic today if you are stroller shopping and would like more info. Spoiler alert: I love it. http://www.momtastic.com/style/465203-product-review-uppababy-travel-system/
My favorite kind of California day, 72 and sunny through clouds. And I've logged 3.5 miles on a good stroller walk with Calvin so I feel like I've accomplished something. Only one million more calories to burn to lose this baby weight
