• Serving Cheese at your Wedding

ways to serve and include cheese in your wedding by oh lovely day

Since it is one of my favorite things, I wanted to revisit the idea of a cheese table at your wedding. What could be better than serving cheese at your wedding?  I mean, it’s CHEESE!  Whether you’re having a low-key backyard wedding or a fancy classic and cool feté, you can include a cheese display.  Or if you don’t think it quite fits in with your wedding style, try it for the rehearsal dinner.  The above photo is perfect for a cocktail hour cheese display, and below are a few other ways to do a cheese table at your wedding.

You could have a cheese display table with chalkboard descriptions of the cheeses set up during cocktail hour.  Or, if cake isn’t your thing, you can have a cheese wheel cake in lieu of wedding cake (just be sure to serve some other desserts.)

If you’re having a low-key picnic-style wedding reception, say in your backyard, you could set up a cute table with cheese displayed for guests, with a cute sign like the photo above.

The best venue for a cheese table would be a vineyard wedding.  You could display the cheeses and give suggested pairings with a wine the vineyard offers or that you’re serving at the bar.  It is like a mini-wine and cheese tasting at your wedding.  Perfect for foodies!

Do you love the idea of a cheese display table at weddings?  How would you include cheese?

We're all fighting a major case of the post-vacay blues.
We had the most amazing time on our family mini-vacation -- the most relaxing and enjoyable trip with our kids ever. We all needed it and made so many memories. A huge thank you to everyone at @theranchlb for the hospitality, gorgeous accommodations, delicious food, and above and beyond service. We are already planning a trip back! I highly recommend them and also taking a mini-trip if you have small children. Three days away really did feel like a vacation -- it was just long enough to enjoy ourselves and not so long we all got overtired and crabby. And only going 90 minutes away was so nice! We're already home, showered, unpacked, and the kiddos are fast asleep. I'll be sharing our whole trip on the blog soon, but you can see highlights in the #fredricksinLaguna feed. #bucketlistbeforebabythree #thefredrickboys
